A cathedral, a snowstorm and an iPhone

When it comes to snow here in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula people say, “We don’t start counting until there’s a foot.” So, when 2 feet of snow fell in less than two days, the office closed and I went out — with my iPhone. It seemed like a good day to try out the video capabilities of my new iPhone 6 Plus and the Storehouse app.

All the video and still photos were taken with the native iOS Camera app, with the exception of using Hyperlapse to shoot steady video in the darkened Bishops Chapel. The photos and video are pulled straight from the phone as captured (no filters, etc.); however, video was edited for length. The project was compiled using the iPhone Storehouse app.

It looks like there’s a lot of potential to use this as a storytelling tool. I’ve already been approached at the office with ideas about using this to present our message.
